How to Write a Perfect Review in 8 Easy Steps

Submitted by admin on Monday, 27 April 2009No Comment

If you want to write a good or even perfect review and don’t know where to start, this post is for you.

So, here are some tips that will help you write a good review that will be liked both by Search Engines and people.

The structure

Here are the main components of a nice review. Use them as a base and add/remove/change stuff to fit your needs.

1. Title & Introduction

Use the main keyword you’re aiming for in Search Engines in the title and the URL of the service. Explain who are you and how did you get to use the service you’re reviewing + why do you review it in the intro section.

2. About the service

Different facts about the service/company - when was it founded, by whom, why, how much money it makes, how many clients do they have, was it sold or not, etc.

3. The Website of the Service

How is it designed, is it beautiful, ugly, flashy, etc. Take some screenshots of the site and post them in this section of the review. Use the keywords you need to rank for in the names of the images.

4. The Ordering Process

How to order on their site (or pay for their service), is it easy, hard, etc. How intuitive is the process, how does the checkout look, do they ship via express, and other stuff.

5. Pricing and Shipping

How did their prices seem to you, are they fine, high, low and how much time did it take to ship the item (or send you the download link if digital product).

6. Service Quality

How do you think their overall quality is, how does their customer support handle the questions (if any), do they take time to explain everything, do they give a quality guarantee or money back, etc.

7. Discounts and Coupons

If you have or find any, show them here (or make the people subscribe to your newsletter in order to receive them by email). Usually, you can contact the company you just reviewed and ask for a discount designed specifically for your users.

8. Conclusion

Overall thoughts, is it good, bad, how does it compare to other similar services and do you recommend it or not.

Following this structure, you should have a review good enough to be published anywhere. Of course, add something specific to the service you’re reviewing or anything else you’d like. Don’t forget to insert screenshots (people like images) and your affiliate links everywhere (why miss on the money you can make?) and add a subscribe to RSS or Email button with a special offer (discounts for this service or something like that).
